Visual Marketing For Accuworx

by bcreative

Recently, we have had the pleasure of working on several interesting projects for Accuworx Inc. – www.accuworx.ca .  Here are a few samples of  projects we have completed including a custom die-cut brochure, high impact truck wrap and a custom 10′ tradeshow display – creative, design and production.   Accuworx understands how important it is to stand apart from the competition, and challenges us to come up with ideas that will do just that!  We look forward to continuing to work with Accuworx on all of their creative marketing needs.

Farm Equipment at it’s Finest!

by bcreative

For those of you that don’t know, ALO is a leading manufacturer of tractors, loaders and implements that any farmer would love to have! We were fortunate enough to get the chance to work on their new Quicke and Trima brochures but not in our usual fashion. Nope, this time we paired up with the always amazing BP Imaging and did a 2 day studio shoot of various loaders & implements with an awesome looking tractor to show it all off.

This shoot took a LOT of organizing as we were dealing with both their Niagara Falls and Sweden offices. We also had a few challenges that we had to overcome such as making sure certain shots were lit and positioned just right so they can later be imaged into a chosen background (thank you Canadian winters for making everything outside look so dreary). This part of the shoot was technical and very time consuming but luckily John Lynch of BP Imaging is a master of his craft and we managed to get the shots done perfectly. Another challenge we had to work through was shooting with children and pets that are untrained for this type of work. We had REAL people come in to be our models that have not had “modelling” experience, this can be tricky and when it comes to kids and pets – patience is a virtue. We needed a few shots with a dog… I offered up my incredibly adorable puppy who ulitmately did well but trying to get a shot where the pup is paying attention and the child is smiling took some time but the process was  hilarious! The many hours of preperation, shooting and set up that everyone put in was well worth it! The end result were amazing images that would make anyone excited for the product whether they would use it or not.

Check out some of the rough shots and let us know what you think! We’ll post some of the finals as soon as it’s finished and released to the public.

Here’s your sneak peek!

Is Ad Spending on the Rise?

by bcreative

While reading through my preferred list of sites and zines today, I came across this article that finally made me feel like the economy could ACTUALLY be recovering. Most things I have been reading over the past year have been very vague and in many instances been contradicted through other articles and even first hand experience… this article actually gave me hope that we may have some consistencey – FINALLY!

Fortunately for Canada, we have been on the mend for some time now and have noticed an incline in ad spending as a whole… the US has not been so lucky.

But there may be a light at the end of the tunnel! Check out this article from Advertising Age. I would love to hear your thoughts and forcasts for ad spending in North America. So don’t be shy, if you have any insight or opinions on where you feel the industry is heading we want to hear it! You have a voice – use it!

Trade Shows… Why Not?

by bcreative

Whether you have a large corporation or a small business, trade shows are an effective, and cost efficient way to get your name, brand and product out in front of your target demographic.

Bcreative has specialized in trade show displays for more years then we can count, and since the main season is upon us, we thought we would educate the less informed as to why attending a trade show is a top notch idea for promoting your business, brand and product. Read the rest of this entry »

Animation VS Animator

by bcreative
Tara-MohawkSmall

As a child most of us are guilty of thinking our toys come to life once the light goes off, or the minute we turn our back. This VERY creative individual has taken this fantasy to the next level and beyond.

I’ve seen some pretty incredible things done with animation, but the simplicity and complexity, yes – simplicity AND complexity (trust me you’ll understand as soon as you watch it) of this little animated short knocked my socks off. Not only is it very inventive but it also provokes an emotional attachment between the viewer and the main “character” immediately.

If only more ads put this much thought and creativity into their campaigns, many more products would experience greater success. Too bad this was just for fun – he concept would be an interesting way of standing out in a sea of mind numbing Hardware and Software campaigns

Who do you want to win – Animation or Animator?

Nolan Cheese Ad… Too much or just right?

by bcreative
Tara-MohawkSmall

A few days ago I was sent a link to a cheese commercial that evoked numerous emotions as I watched it. I thought it was well done, and it definitely made me remember the brand and the ad (which is always the main goal) but it was pretty hard to watch at first and for me, was ultimately too much to like it. I showed it to a number of friends and colleagues and got mixed reviews on it.

Take a look for yourself (you’ll need volume to get the full experience) – is it too much or just right? Do you think it was effective in getting the message out or is it too much for its target audience?

A successful campaign that never was

by bcreative

Early December 2009  AshelyMadison.com proposed to the TTC  an conspicuous  simple bright wraparound streetcar ad, with oversized bold sans serif white typeface that read “Life is short. Have an affair. www. AshleyMadison.com” It refers the viewer to the company’s website, that  guarantees “an affair to remember” in three months or your $249 back (Globe &  Mail, Dec 11, 2009).

UPS Delivering Free to Haiti… not true

by bcreative

As everyone is preparing to send some much needed supplies to Haiti compliments of UPS word is out, and I have officially confirmed that UPS is not footing the bill like all the popular rumours out there are stating. But don’t let that deter you from helping as there are ways to get your items there safely.

Here are a  few legitimate organizations that can ensure your supplies get into the hands of those unfortunate souls in Haiti

If you know of more LEGITIMATE organizations to add to the list please don’t hesitate to post. The more we can educate people on how to help the better off our Haitian friends will be.

Every little bit helps!

New Years Resolution?

by bcreative

Blog Tara New Years is rapidly approaching and it brings on the question… what is your new years resolution… or do you even bother? I personally stopped bothering with the whole resolution thing years ago, once I realized a new year doesn’t need to come around in order for me to make some changes in my life. I just read this article about resolutions pertaining to work that the writer will try to NOT do in the new year (with regards to Digital Marketing)  and I was inspired to take a hard look at what my work resolutions should be for my job performance.
